The dashing artist...

Hey! This is James. I've been drawing ever since I could remember. I guess if I had to put an age on it, I would say I was atleast six or seven when I started drawing seriously. I mean, sure I finger painted a bit in kindergarten, but not like drawing hardcore.

Even when I first started drawing, I always paid attention to detail. I would draw all of my people with appropriate arms, legs, fingers, ears, noses, eyes, mouths, necks, etc. Of course, they weren't all proportionate (as they still are The dashing artist...often not, even to this day), but for the most part, they looked halfway descent for my age.

For several years, I didn't draw much. I spent a lot more time dinking around with computers. Within the past year or two, though, I've been focusing back on drawing, and now I'm actually half-way developing a style for myself. I hope for it to perfect and become a style that is as unique as possible. I think I'm on my way, but I still have a long way to go.

The dashing artist...

For one thing, I'm still having stress with consistancy with my characters. As any artists knows, however, is that this is bound to be an issue while my characters are developing their personalities and such. As soon as I've been drawing them as much as I do for a long period of time, they will be as consistant as hicks and their boots!

So, that's about it. I like to draw. I'm not quite in the beginning stages of developing my drawing skills, but I'm far from the veteran stage. Feel free to tell me my style sucks, I don't mind. I just like getting e-mail... I think I thrive on it.
